CEO Bonnie Robinson leaves HBH Senior Living in good shape for the future
After over a decade at the helm of HBH Senior Living, long-serving Chief Executive Officer, Bonnie Robinson is leaving to lead another not-for-profit organisation, Presbyterian Support Northern.
“It’s been a privilege to have led HBH Senior Living for the past 11 years and to work with such a talented and dedicated team of people,” says Bonnie. “Together, we’ve made a tangible difference to the lives of many older people in our care homes and the wider community. I know the senior leadership team will continue to realise our vision of ensuring seniors have the care and support they need to enjoy fullness of life.”
“Bonnie has made an incredible contribution to HBH over the past 11 years,” says HBH Chair, Stephen Parker. “We’re very grateful for her innovation, dedication and tireless energy as she has helped to shape and build our organisation. Bonnie has led a very capable executive team and I have every confidence in their ability to lead the organisation while a new CEO is appointed.”
During her tenure, Bonnie has steered significant expansion towards fulfilling HBH’s mission of supporting seniors in the wider community, not just those living in their aged care facilities. From a single rest home and hospital in Howick, HBH Senior Living now owns and manages several aged care facilities and community outreach services, including Gulf Views, Stevenson Village, Gracedale and Shalom Court.
Bonnie also led the introduction of the Eden Alternative philosophy of care to their aged care facilities, as well as establishment of Virtual Village East, a social and support network for seniors offering online and in-person events and activities in the East Auckland community.
“HBH will always be a very special organisation that’s guided by purpose rather than profit to enable older people to age well and live fully,” says Bonnie. “I’m very proud to have been a part of this inspirational organisation and I look forward to seeing HBH grow and develop in the future.”
